JANUARY 2014
I'm really enjoying volunteering some of my time for the Rural Coffee Caravan Information Project at the moment. I've already created two designs for them which have been printed onto tea towels and mugs which are being sold to raise money for the charity, and I'm now working on some greetings card designs. (Photos to follow.)

The Coffee Caravan is a wonderful, Suffolk based charity which reaches out to people of all ages in rural isolation, but is particularly beneficial to the elder members of our communities, and is 'on a mission' to end loneliness. Their kitted out caravan & campervan motor off to villages around the county, offering all sorts of advice and information which those in rural isolation might otherwise have difficulty accessing, with the added bonus of free cake and cuppas.

They hold Tea Dances and Golden Age Fairs - free events, with free refreshments which create chances for people to get together for a good old natter and a giggle whilst also being able to have a go on the charity's ipads to sample Skyping their relatives for example, or chat to a representative of Age UK face to face about Alzheimers concerns, as well as accessing information on a wide range of services including mobility & health aids,  and benefits. There are also stalls, crafts and displays from local clubs at the fairs, instigating a whole variety of ways for people to find friendship and improve their quality of life.

Follow the link above or on my links page to take a look at their website for more information.
